Sun Valley

Just got back from a solid week of awesome training in Sun Valley. Mark Mast of the Wood River Ability Program does a tremendous job putting together a development camp every year in beautiful Sun Valley, ID. This year, I went to train and help out as an instructor / mentor at the camp, and Ian was along as well to help with instruction. It was unbelievable weather (warm!) and there was a TON of snow.

I had a great opportunity to ski with some aspiring xc racers and managed to get some really awesome training in. My favorite is the Harriman trail, which is just north of town and is used for the infamous Boulder Mountain Tour ski race. I skied Harriman on three different occasions. On the last day of the camp, we went up to Galena Summit and had a great morning, then on the way home, Ian dropped me off at the  Prarie Loop, which is 20k north where we usually park at the Harriman. I had a great ski all the way down the river valley and looped back up for a few intervals before Ian & Henry picked me back up a few hours later. You don't find ideal sit ski terrain like that very often!

I'm getting some final preparation in before heading to Norway, one week from today...I feel pretty strong and moderately fast after a long Fall and Winter trying to get back in shape!
